Re: Tonight's dinner?

Oven-roasted mediterranean vegetables (aubergine, courgette, red pepper, yellow pepper, onion, garlic and tomato with fresh rosemary, thyme and lemon balm from our balcony) accompanied by... a frozen ham and cheese strudel.

Nothing but gourmet chez Kamarate.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I didn't serve the strudel frozen.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Love to see that this thread that I started is doing so well!

So, cervelat salad, ham salad, bbq-goat-lamb salad (leftover from Easter), tomato-and-buffalo-mozzarella salad.

And some bread.

Tomorrow, various pizze cooked in the pizza-oven.

Tom

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Seeing as it's rainy and cold, and there was LOTS of old bread, the only option was CHEESE FONDUE!

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Cos it was rainy and cold.....mum food!

Leeks wrapped in a quality smoked ham, braised slowly with butter flocks , white wine and home made chicken wing stock. Added baby tomatoes, just before the uncovered end and served on a creamy cheddar mash.

MMMMum.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Lemony roast chicken with potatoes and parsnips. Banana walnut bread* for dessert.

*it's banana cake really.... shhh! We call it bread back home though. If it's baked in a loaf pan it ain't a cake.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Roast leg of lamb with mint sauce (homemade). 21chf per kilo from the Turkish grocery in Josefstrasse. Beautiful south african style potato salad from another forum member, and a superb pavlova with fresh cream, banana and strawberries.

Topped off with a south african red wine, grenadine and soda thanks to Globus, and turkish soft drink that is almost like 'creaming soda' but with a citrus twist...

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Start with a pasta with fresh basil/tomatoes/garlic and then baked ribs in BBQ sauce... falling off the bone!

With a nice Pata Negra Tempranillo from a local vineyard!
