Confit de canard, with the "sarladaise" potatoes and a glass of Shiraz.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Late Thanksgiving dinner and we found that Ikea Lingon berries make a great substitute for cranberries...

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Fried rice noodles mixed with egg noodles, with shrimps, scallops and veggies. Dessert was fluffy semolina pudding with strained raspberry marsala sauce.

Dinner FAIL!

I made a mushroom and nut pie as I'm experimenting with vegan recipes at the moment.

I thought my two little ones would like it as it has soya sauce in it and, well, my three year old took a mouthful and it looked as if she was going to get sick My almost 2 year old saw what his sister did and refused to eat it

Oh no! It sad isn't it? My last disaster was a really horrible banana bread. Yuk! I love mushrooms but I only know how to make them with cream. OHHH!! No, you could do a vegan risotto, leaving out the butter and cheese at the end. They have mushroom broth. Use that.

Dinner tonight will be "Mexican" at Taco Box. Wish me luck!!!

Tonight will be a bit, uh, special: gruyere surchoix cheese, a pear, a scoop of pannacotta ice-cream and glutinous rice balls filled with sesame paste (from the Asian shop under ZHB) in palm sugar syrup. Girls' night in!

Buntbarsch with a garlic/cayenne/lemony dressing (like a mayonaisse) over a nussler salad. Yum. Attachment 36387

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Left-over stuffed cabbage from the depths of the freezer (no new food until Christmas, need to make space).

Tomorrow, western omlettes!

Christmas-eve: fondue chinoise and bourguignonne.
