Plenty.
Then it's bruschette.

Bruschetta is just a single piece of toast, with or without toppings.

We usually make it with no toppings, toppings to be added (or not) at the table.

It's one of the best ways to use up old bread.

Tom, normally I call them "bruschette", just so you know. I wasnt sure that was the Italian plural though. (too many similarities, adding -e or -i at the end for instance)

It's quite cool at the moment, only 22C, and will be colder by dinner time (20h30).

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Grilled lamb, zucchini, eggplant and a beet roasted on the grill
Some tzatziki with cucumber, feta, crunchy peppers and olives

Now for a few carbs in the form of ice cream.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Left-over stuffed pepper, with left-over cherry-pie with store-bought ice-cream for desert.

Tomorrow, home-made corn tortillas with home-made beef and/or carnitas, plus condiments.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Shrimp ceviche with home-made corn tortillas.

Got the fresh rocotos, aji-amarillos and cilantro in Como the other day, as well as a few pounds of okra that we used the other day for a light gumbo (no roux).
