After cooking for visitors for a couple of weeks - came back from drop at Yverdon station and had a bowl of porridge with cinnamon. Bliss.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Mmm... Uetlibergbraten and baked potatoes with butter and oregano!

It's so nice to be allowed to eat solid food again.

(Mind, if all liquid food were as good as this Connemara whiskey I wouldn't complain...)

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Tonight's dinner: tuna tartar; just chopped raw tuna, lots of chive, soja sauce, pepper..., with toast. Simple and yummy... With a glass of gentle venetian red...
No leftovers...

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Wholemeal crusty baguette with cold bacon, brie and red grapes, followed by raspberry jelly....an odd combination but I'm a student so anything goes!

I hope you've got the appropriate paperwork for keeping cattle at home - lest Wolli find out!

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Hot chili pie from The Pie Shop, rucola and winter-cress for greens, and as much of the stock of this I can lay waste to--thoughtfully refrigerated by the parents of the little one I am looking after this evening--before they return...

Quesadillas: Leftover porterhouse steak, chopped up with onions & cheese, toasted between corn tortillas on a buttered skillet, then cut into wedges and served with Mexican beer and salsa.

Delicious* homemade pizza.

*because I made it with my toddler daughter whose sweet giggles and butter fingers added all the delicious flavor the pizza needed

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Roasted chicken with oven roasted sweet potato fries, and a salad of fennel, orange, arugula and pomegranate seeds.

For dessert, we had flourless chocolate cake, rasberries and cream (it was a birthday dinner, so we had something a little special).

Hi . I'd love the recipie for the flourless chocolate cake if you'd be kind enough to share it? I've tried a few but they've never turned out right

Re: Tonight's dinner?

until your post, I did not know there was such a thing as chili without beans. They're the best part of chili--plus high in fiber and antioxidants to boot!
