Kangaroo steak with a green peppercorn beurre noisette, balsamic grilled onions and baked stuffed garlic tomatoes.
Ah, someone who likes kangaroo meat. It's okay, but personally I prefer bison. I think it's more versatile than kangaroo. I had bison with peppers, onions and potatoes the other evening instead of using the normal steak.

TBH I find it 'okay' too. I've had it in restaurants a few times but it's never blown me away.

I'm hoping I'll become a convert when I prepare it myself tonight!

Haven't had bison in yonks.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Lidl seem to get bison steaks fairly often these days and price compares favourably to ordinary steaks. They also have ostrich too if you like that.

Wurstsalat — wifey's choice (the only way she'll eat Cervelas). I had to prepare, but she washed up(!).

Enchilada casserole (to use up some old home-made tortilla chips), with fresh salsa.

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Wow! How could I fail to see this thread. I love to cook, and cooking healthily in this expensive city has become an obsession of mine

I discovered Barkat today and am still on a high from my 25Rp aubergines which will be used to make Sichuan spicy aubergines. But that's tomorrow. Today, it's garlic chive dumplings. Pictures to come!

Due to other commitments and what what ... there was nobody to serve a dinner tonight. Therefore, no need to brag, it all ended up like this: http://www.burgerking.de

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Whole wheat spaghettini with vegetarian sugo (or bolognaise, I don't quite know the differences).

Onions, garlic, diced courgette, diced carrot, some torn and minced spinach, one chopped red chilli, complemented with cherry tomatoes, a carton of tomato sugo and a sprinkling of oregano.
