I have to agree with most, the veggie burger at BK (Basel SBB) is 1000 times better than veggie burger at BK (US).
However, I have had better falafel sandwiches and Chinese food in US than here...

I really really like the chicken wraps. One costs SFr. 3.90 and it's enough for a small appetite. Highly recommended!

You want the classic: three cheese burgers, BBQ sauce, a Carlsberg and an apple pie. 15 chfs the lot and oh so tasty.

Nice and great quality of white chicken! They taste like chicken, they look like chicken, they smell like chicken and their texture is like chicken! So it is real chicken!

i guess you'd need to arrange some sort of double-blind tasting to get reliable results, because the psychological element could be swaying you.
i can't say i noticed much of a difference between the uk burgers and swiss ones, but i never ate them much in the uk and when i did i was usually hungover and gobbled them down in less than a minute...

I don't know how much it helps, buuuut...
One thing I know about McDonald's and BK - they both make a point of using local produce as much as possible for practical and political reasons. Besides saving on transport costs, everyone feels better going there when they feel they support their own farmers. Additionally, it also gives them a better chance of succeeding when people get something more like what they are used to. I distinctly recall hearing about McDonald's troubles with Russian potatoes (tasty, but too small for a proper French fry)
In Switzerland, because cows are generally grass-fed, "free range" (by american standards) animals, they tend to have leaner beef with a different flavor profile than the corn-fed beef americans typically get. (Side note: Americans also get a lot of Argentine beef now, purely because demand has grown in excess of what can be provided.) Also, Swiss cheeses are generally NOT made from pastuerized milk, while American cheeses are, which adds a lot of lovely complexities to the flavor. The difference in farming practices goes all the way through the process, and you really do find that the everything goes into Swiss McD's is different than its American counterparts.
Now, as to "better," I'll leave that to each person's own judgement. Personally, I find Swiss McDonald's wonderful (though, their Big Mac's are very difficult to separate from the American version. same special sauce, I think) but I have trouble talking myself into any meal for two served on paper at those prices.
