Now I like a good brownie, but there's nothing worse than the one's claiming to be gooey, or fudgey, but then totally disappoint when they turn out to be like a piece of dry sponge cake....I also thought that nuts were a no-no too.

Good old booze free Migros do two pieces of 'American style' brownie (in the chilled dept) for around 4CHF and they are really good. And they've got nuts in them! And I'm converted!!
Heated and served with some vanilla ice cream they are very close to what, imo, a brownie should be like.
