Weapons grade chilli for UK chilli lovers

There will be a few tears shed over this one...

To quote the grower...

"I actually ate one yesterday. It was one I'd had frozen from last year - so I thought it wouldn't be as hot as if it was fresh - and I thought I'd try it.
It was all a bit worrying. The burn on my tongue lasted half an hour and the effects went on and on. At one point I was doubled over in pain and thinking about ringing the hospital."

EDIT

Check out his great site for those that like a burn...

http://www.firefoods.co.uk/

I'm going to order a few bits very soon. The fire pickled onions come with a warning not to let them touch your skin as it will hurt.

I wanted to laugh when you said you were thinking of ringing the hospital, but i stopped myself! Reminds me of the time my brother in law was doubled over in pain and called an ambulance because he thought he had appendicitis. When he got there, turns out he had wind haha

Whatever possessed you to eat it raw?

oops just saw the quote about eating it was from the grower, not you!
