See, where I am from only people with no teeth actually dip pastries/croissants into coffee or tea.
But you can dip Hobnobs, right?

Top Tip

Take one cup of coffee + 1 Penguin (biscuit, not flightless bird).

Bite off about 1 cm from diagonal corners of the Penguin.

Dip one of the bitten corners in the coffee and suck on the other until coffee comes through.

Quickly stuff penguin in your mouth before it disinegrates.

Meringues and double cream... Moutarde de Benichon...

If near Schaffhausen the Schlosskugeln

That blows my mind. Never had them. The last time I was in Switzerland I sought out the best place for Vermicelle in Zurich. I don't know if its a dish only found in Switzerland, but they make it so well and I've only had it in Switzerland, so for me its synonymous with that country's cuisine.

Argh..that's givin me a headache. I can't even imagine it.
Although I used to hate sweet bun with jam, now it's lovely, reminds me scones. Maybe in a couple of years I get into polluting my coffee with some cookie crumbs

That's the highest quality, so nice, true.
And pretzels one gets in Cornavin, with soft butter, parmezan cheese and jambon cru. The most fattening and yumiest snack, ever.

Hobnobs are a good one to dunk because they are the hardiest of biscuits and might survive two or three dips. Never do this with the "Petit Beurre" variety - they turn into mush within a nanosecond.

Strangely it is neither the cheese nor the chocolates that I gorge on during my Swiss trip, but the charcuterie, above all the Saucisson vaudois:

I have to assume it tastes better than it looks. Do you eat it cooked or raw?

I think I'd recommend eating it drunk.

Re: (Food) What are you addicted to in CH?

- instant cappuccino with extra hot milk, not extremely swiss..

- fondue of course - by now we only have it when visitors are over

- pain au chocolat, just after dropping the kids off, to go with the cappu.

- still have to try the eclairs, childhood memory.
