Indian soup mystery

So I was in this Indian restaurant (northern indian I believe) in Budapest and had the most AMAZING vegetable soup ever! THE MOST AMAZING, Janite ??--you ask. Yes, I am not a liar ! I've been looking to replicate it ever since. I've looked in various cookbooks, the internet, etc, but could not find the same. It came as a vegetable cream soup but it had the taste of lentils mostly, with chopped coriander. That's all I could make out. I would LOVE love love if someone could give me some recipes that I can try to recreate this soup. Million thanks

Re: Indian soup mystery

It was a little darker, but that could be just a different lentil? And it was completely blended like a cream soup. But please share the recipe and I will try Thank you.

Re: Indian soup mystery

If it was darker , it could be this then it is called daal makhani ..
this one is more difficult than the ''yellow lentil soup''

you are welcome

Re: Indian soup mystery

Why don't you ask the restaurant and post the recipe here ?

I'm also very curious. It's something I really want to try in my own kitchen.
