They do.

Do you really think that the water from the lake goes directly to your tap?

Tom
Clearly! Everyone knows it goes from WC to Lake to Tap to WC - as quickly and efficiently as it can - TIS!!

Re: Do you drink tap water?

As I usually claim bottles water is safer than tap water, here's a topical example when NOT to drink the tap water in Switzerland.

Of course, by all means true.

I just like to point out the erroneous opinion that tap water is 'perfectly' safe and better than bottled water.

Nothing erroneous about that opinion. Very very rare screw-ups happen on both sides but 99.9% of the time it's true.

And when it's not, with tap water you are informed MUCH faster and more thoroughly than with bottled.

Was it Evian water? I think it was Perrier, it cost them a lot of money, it was around 1984. Americans called it Derrière water.

How many Americans outside of Louisiana would have understood that?! Anyway, yes, it was Perrier, but in 1990.

The tap water here is great and drinkable ... https://www.oxymount.com/en/water-di...ter-types.html

If unsure, just let it through Britta filter and you are good to go. If calcium bothers you just add a few squeezes of lemon juice - great recipe for cleaning your system and losing some weight too

How does a Brita filter make unsafe tap water safe?

How does lemon juice make you lose weight?

How does it 'clean' your system? I thought organs like your liver and kidneys did that?

The Brita doesn't make unsafe water safe to drink, but it removes some of the minerals. It changes the taste slightly, but in my opinion the main advantage is that you can make tea without damaging your kettle and having tea scum in your cup. I also use Brita filtered water in my iron to delay mineral build-up.

For the lemon juice, sorry, can't help, I only put it in my Gin & Tonic and so far it has had no effect on my liver or weight.

I was being sarcastic.

Jakec had basically written a load of nonsense.

You don't damage your kettle with limescale - evidence shows that limescale buid-up doesn't even affect the electricity consumption much, and unlike your body and lemon juice you can use an acid solution to clean your kettle.

Indirectly, by aiding digestion it helps to lose weight ...

http://tasty-yummies.com/2013/03/18/...ery-morning/?m

It works for me, combined with jogging and tennis after few months I saw the difference in my metabolism. Got even six pack slowly appearing. Also it helped to get rid of some skin rush. Try it for a while every morning (luke warm water is even better) then complain if it doesn't

No it doesn't.

It may make you feel virtuous though and make you feel like Angelina Jolie and Madonna but that still doesn't help you lose weight.

Lemon juice in warm water is also bad for tooth enamel but I suppose you could rinse in fresh water afterwards.

It would help you lose weight if you had that stupid glass of lukewarm lemon water instead of a proper breakfast.

In fact, I sell a diet plan based on the novel concept I call "not eating". You will lose lots of weight very quickly! At the moment, people are dying after a few days but that's not my problem. I take payment upfront.

You could make more profit by selling some self help literature to help them through the 'I'm feeling peckish' through the 'Bloody hell I'm hungry but I'm definitely getting thinner' to the final 'I think I'm going to die' stages of your diet plan.

Plus of course some scented candles (not food related obviously).

Are you speaking for experience? Both at the same time?
Bit much for a bloke.
