Re: Latin American grocery stores

The American Market in Nyon is increasingly adding latin american products to its shelves, there is a whole row of latino merchandise. The original american market is in Geneva, so would guess they would have some of the same. I would note that the GVA store is much smaller than the Nyon store, so maybe this is not the case (I have not been to the GVA store in a long time).

Re: Latin American grocery stores

the GE-American Market does do a fair range of Latin-Am products upstairs... but I think the OP has already experienced a little bit of "sticker-shock" from there.

Re: Latin American grocery stores

If you do a search on the forum you will find a couple other LatAm stores. Not big supermarkets like in the US though. They are small shops.

Re: Latin American grocery stores

The Nyon Yank market actually have Latin American people working there, so they will most likely tell you (and sell you their stuff, of course).

Try behind the station at Cornavin, there are little shops with foreign food, towards Servette, right under the tracks.

Re: Latin American grocery stores

If you walk down the street from Gare Cornavin to the Mont Blanc bridge in a cross road there is a travel agency that does sell some LATAM products. The owner is a very nice lady from Peru and she can provide you with flyers for several things I am sorry but I can't remember the name of the street or the shop but I guess it's the first or second street to the right if you walk up from Mont Blanc bridge on the street where the bus runs (if I recall correctly) I am not sure I passed by last year accidently and spent a good time talking to her
