Not a joke, but please can someone tell me generally, what's the difference between the 2? I know (or think I do) that a bakerai is a bakers, so what's a konditorai?

A Bäckerei just makes bread and anything related to that. Nothing sweet.

A Konditorei makes everything sweet like cakes and stuff.

Most stores are Bäckerei/Konditorei and make everything you can bake.

So baekerei is bakery and konditorei is pastry. That's all I know sorry, not much help.
