| | The final Quest for KFC ? http://www.naturalnews.com/032820_Ch...gredients.html | Quote: | | | | | At least two of these ingredients are artificially synthesized industrial chemicals. TBHQ, a petroleum derivative, is used as a stabilizer in perfumes, resins, varnishes and oil field chemicals. Laboratory studies have linked it to stomach tumors. "At higher doses, it has some negative health effects on lab animals, such as producing precursors to stomach tumors and damage to DNA. A number of studies have shown that prolonged exposure to high doses of TBHQ may be carcinogenic, especially for stomach tumors." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TBHQ) Dimethylpolysiloxane, a type of silicone, is used in caulks and sealants, as a filler for breast implants, and as key ingredient in Silly Putty. Says Wikipedia: "PDMS is also used as a component in silicone grease and other silicone based lubricants, as well as in defoaming agents, mold release agents, damping fluids, heat transfer fluids, polishes, cosmetics, hair conditioners and other applications. PDMS has also been used as a filler fluid in breast implants, although this practice has decreased somewhat, due to safety concerns. PDMS is used variously in the cosmetic and consumer product industry as well. For example, PDMS can be used in the treatment of head lice..." ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimeth...) | | | | | |

The rest of us find it tastes repulsive anyway.

It says chicken McNuggets....very different taste from KFC!
Everything is relative and depends on the levels. Garlic naturally contains allyl isothiocyanate that can cause cancer. Personally, I think the risk from those chemicals, in chicken or garlic, is very small.

Dang...my mouth started watering when you said TBHQ and Dimethylpolysiloxane...those two ingredients make my stomach growl for more
...and in addition, apparently everything that isn't losing money in this consumer world can give you cancer...it's how the little guys who are losing money can get an extra advantage...
I say bring on the Chicken! And bring on another KFC run!

Aren't Chicken McNuggets from McDonalds anyway? Unfortunatley I could just walk down the street to buy some of those. Would gladly swap the local McD's for a KFC any day.

I think I will walk the 5 minutes from my flat to KFC and pick up something tasty with no TBHQ and DMPS. I'll be in Zurich later this month, how much could I get for a couple of buckets?

I dont think this type of food ever gets rotten.
You can bring a couple of suitcases full of that and re-sell it here during the upcoming months.

If any makes it all the way over I'll be selling it for 10CHF a piece.
Got back about an hour ago from KFC. Had a Wicked Zinger Meal.....Chicken Fillet burger, 2 hot wings, fries, corn-on-the cob and a drink. That's my caloric intake for the weekend gone!
Just a sec....yes, can still taste it on my lips.
