German bakery in Zürich?

I lived in Freiburg (Germany) for a year previously and really miss the German bakeries. The bakeries here in Switzerland are ok but I personally miss big slabs of Streuselkuchen, käsespeckbretzel etc. I'm just wondering whether anyone has come across a German bakery in Zürich??

Re: German bakery in Zürich?

Gnädinger at Schaffhauserplatz does some German type breads (Roggensauerteig), though in miniature sizes.

Globus has got some Mohnkuchen and the like.

Re: German bakery in Zürich?

Buchmann's been doing more German breads. This German deli-style place is always at the Wednesday Hauptbahnhof market and they have big fat bretzels. Haven't seen anything resembling big German cake slabs and streusel stuff though--sorry (I miss it sometimes too!).
