Lemon Juice

Is bottled lemon juice something that's sold here? I wandered around my large neighborhood grocery for a while trying to find it, but to no avail. Before I try again, can someone let me know if this is even something I would find? I would think it would either be in the produce or in the juice aisle, but no luck there, nor in the baking or the vinegar aisles.

Thanks!

Find the Iced Tea - bottles of lemon juice should be nearby.

Re: Lemon Juice

Nearly every supermarket sells the bright yellow coloured plastic lemons filled with "juice"

Re: Lemon Juice

Thanks! Maybe my local Coop has it hiding somewhere - I'll re-check tomorrow.

Yep. This is where they keep it, at least in Migros. (I had to ask too. )

In Migros in Metalli, Zug, they have the juice next to the fish monger.

If you have trouble finding it, they do sell lemons here. I find that if you squeeze them (which takes just a few seconds), work pretty well as a bottled lemon juice substitute.

Yep, I've been doing that for the past few weeks, but it starts getting expensive when you do too much. Also, when you are using lemon juice for something like canning (e.g., canning tomatoes), you want something with a consistent pH, which bottled lemon juice has. But thanks!

It's like you have ESP. And yes, I did look. Just didn't see it - maybe it was being restocked and I missed it? But thank you.

Re: Lemon Juice

In Coops they are always with the baking stuff... well usually lol Certainly I've always found that the case in the big superstores.

The constant PH is also always a benefit in a good G&T when the lemons and limes look manky or are sold out (not that it's why I know exactly where to find such products you understand...)

Well that's different.

You must have a lot of tomatoes.

Re: Lemon Juice

You will all be happy to know that I found it at my neighborhood Migros (which is far smaller and thus, far less overwhelming than the nearby Coop). It was in the juice/water/coke area. I also found a pork loin for 50% off

Incidentally, I stopped by the Denner for some wine (as my neighborhood Migros does not carry the EtOH), and saw lemon juice there for 0.80 per 200 mL (.30 less than the Migros). For whoever keeps track of these things and needs to save some rappen.
