Re: Sea Bass

Call them and ask for "Wolfsbarsch", "Zackenbarsch" or "Loup de mer" if they don't understand English.

Price per kg is CHF 48.- , one whole fish should be around 800 - 1000g.

Globus has usually higher prices.

Ouch! I eat a whole one myself, that's expensive! Worth it though I guess. Tried to find it in Germany but to no avail :-(

Re: Sea Bass

You might want to try Manor. They normally have a nice selection of fresh fish and the prices are better than Globus.

Unfortunately, the Manor in Zurich actually doesn't have a wonderful food p0rn section like most of the ones on your side do. The closest ones are Baden and Rapperswil, which is a bit far to go for fish

The Manor in Chavannes-de-Bogis is to Die For. The fresh fish and meat area is really something. The people living along the Côte are really lucky.

The one in Lausanne is not bad either.

Re: Sea Bass

Decent fish counters I have seen are Jelmoli, Globus and the fish stall at the Viadukt.

Cheers,
Nick

Kaufland in the town of Waldshut, Germany is where we go for certain household stuff and their fish section usually has sea bass whenever we've been there. But try Josefstrasse like Hashbrown has suggested first.

Re: Sea Bass

If you want great Sea Bass and great service I suggest.
Schlüssel on Seefeld Strasse 177. Tram 2 or 4 get off at Frohlichstrasse.
But remember to book
