| | Mountain Dew?
Is there anybody who knows if Mountain Dew is available in Switzerland (or maybe in the German-Swiss border area)?
They don't sell it in the Netherlands, but I know it from holidays and it's awesome! | This user would like to thank Braincake for this useful post: | |

I take it you mean the scrumptious drink...??
Not water you'd find on a patch of grass on top of a mountain on a cold morning? Because there's probably lots of that here too..
Anyway - the drink can be bought in 'Drinks of the World' in the Shopville under Zurich Hauptbahnhof, it's next to a kiosk and opposite Migros. Go down into Shopville via the entrance by the Swiss National Museum.

Mountain Dew is not available in Switzerland, in Germany only at big railway stations (at yorma or famersmarkt / Stilke etc) and at petrol stations.
But they sell only 0.5 L Bottles for up to 1.75 Euros.
In Australia or the US you can get 1.25 Liter for 1 Dollar( US or Australia).
If they sell it at Drinks of the World , I will buy a few.........

I've only seen it in cans...but they also have some exotic special edition Moutain Dew as well, which is pretty good, but not quite the same. |

They sell it at the "American Shop" in Nyon. Actually they sell a couple of different versions of it.

...but they don't taste even remotely the same!!
Of course, if energy is what you're after, monster should be your drink of choice

You can get it in Wadenswil(pm me, I don't like to give out the info to find I can't find it anymore). There is an importer in Freinbach who puts it in the Kioks as well near Pfaffikon. It's also available at Cindy's Diner, off the autoroute, also in Wadi, with a huge selection of American products. Hell, they even sell Nerds there!

But yeah, I meant the drink.
Read on the internet that Mountain Dew kinda flopped in Europe.
Pretty weird, because it's freakin' good stuff.
I now have 6 bottles of 2 liter extremely disgusting cherry stuff with sparkles (which I have forced myself to drink because it was expensive), so I have to find something better. |

I think it's too sweet for the average European palate.

My wife is a huge Mountain Dew fan. They always keep a big supply available at the Aperto store at the Thun Bahnhof. 1.70 CHF a can.

I've given in to latent cravings from time to time, Code Red and regular are often available at Lolipop but it runs 3.50chf per can. |

I would suggest stocking up on Mountain Dew flavored Soda Club syrup while in USA, then making your own here.
Hell, maybe you could even buy a case of genuine Mountain Dew syrup from a 7-11 or a distributor in USA. Just mix with seltzer water and you're set!

I picked up a couple 500ml bottles at London City Airport this morning, but that's a bit far to go! Ł2.50 for the 2, plus flight. They have cans in the petrol station near where I work, authentic green stuff.

| | | | | Most syrup cases are quite heavy (35lbs/16kg), and require special equipment(read expensive) to mix in the carbonation and water in the proper ratio. They're also not easy to open without the equipment, and if you spill it, it is as sticky, sugary, and viscous as maple syrup. But the yield is fantastic- 7 to 1! I used to see them sold at membership warehouses in the U.S. for reasonable prices- $40-50 for a case.
Used to be a restaurant manager for 9 years and 7 years at a movie theater before that- been using the bag-in-boxes for all my professional life.

I know I've seen cans of A&W root beer sold at the "Lollipop" candy stores here, and it seems I may have also seen Mt. Dew sold there (but not 100% sure).
