Re: Salt and Vinegar crisps in Coop!

Shamrock Pub sells Walkers Cheese and Onion too.....but at an eye watering 2.50CHF per pack. I was naively hoping that Coop will do much more economically

In the scheme of things 2.50 is ok when you consider a beer at 9.50..think in CHF not sterling

I just got home picking up snacks (I should be shot, went grocery shopping yesterday and didn't bring any home... at least that's the feeling hubby gives me ) and snagged a bag of these at Coop

They currently are priced at 3.55chf at Coop, one of those "few" occasions where Coop has a better price than Denner.

Yay!

They're in a blue bag, you can't miss em!

Zweifel brand
For someone like me who tasted this for the first time I must say this is lovely. All sorts of unknown sensations in my mouth I've had.

Oh Sada!

As someone who has overindulged in Salt & Vinegar chips in the past, I'll say to be careful... that salty vinegariness / vinegary saltiness burns after a while, tongue and lips.

Oh so tasty though as you head toward that punishment though.

Talking of Coop pricing...

Look Herr Coop, there's no way that knocking 50 Rappen off a 9 chuffs cake is going to make me want to buy it.

Re: Salt and Vinegar crisps in Coop!

In Géant, St Louis, you can get Vinegar flavoured crisps in 150g bags, IIRC, quite cheaply. Yes - they do have salt as well!

The onion flavour is pretty good too. But no cheese and onion.

Salt & Vinegar dreams

Oh the bliss.
Coop in Baar on a Friday afternoon.
I brought their entire stock of Zweifel Salt & Vinegar Chips (only 3 bags left on the shelf), and some Brooklyn Beer to wash it all down.
Such simple ingredients for a snowy weekend in.

I hope the product manager at Zweifel gets a big fat promotion for bringing the Swiss potato chip market up to date by about 20 years.

Re: Salt & Vinegar dreams

Zweifel's Salt and Vinegar chips is nice.
They should also introduce Prawn Cocktail, Cheese and Onion, Mild Chilli (with just plain pure Chilli Powder) flavours.

Migros has kettle cooked Salt & Balsamic... it's a bit pricier (nearly 2x the cost) but quite tasty!

I actually happen to prefer the ones from Coop as the kettle cooked ones are a bit too crunchy for me and scratch the roof of my mouth.
