Viju. I totally agree with you. Lets all sing the praises to the CEO of Zweifel regarding the S&V innovation - perhaps with a bombardment of praise for this move, they might sit up and take notice of the endless flavour possibilities out there and soon we'll be munching away on prawn cocktail and cheese and onion to our hearts delight.
There is a very easy contact form to fill out on the zweifel website if you think this is a worthy cause....maybe then they can move closer to fufilling their strapline as 'Die Chips Expertin'. www.zweifel.ch

did you not find them a but too vinegary? I normally like them strong and tangy but they were a little disappointing, but hey better than nothing I suppose

I've stocked up on these at home Migros sell the Zweifel S&V (not just Kettle) as well - unless they're already sold out, if you follow my drift

I actually like these better than either Walkers or the Coop kettle chips - find they sting a bit more palatably. (I have been told by a reliable source that that is because I am eating them sober.)

Just got my first pack of these from a LeShop order yesterday. What was I thinking of, only ordering one packet?! Now I'll have to wait at least another week to justify another order.
They are marvellous - much closer in taste to those shudderingly tangy (Smiths?) square crisps, rather than the old Walkers favourites.
But thank you Zweifel - one less thing to bring back from the UK.

Noooooooooo Smiths Squares Salt and Vinegar are my favourite crisps of all time - they are top of my list for any visitor coming from the UK
Still finding the Zweifel ones too strong but they'll do |

| | Re: Salt & Vinegar dreams | Quote: | | | | | Oh the bliss.
Coop in Baar on a Friday afternoon.
I brought their entire stock of Zweifel Salt & Vinegar Chips (only 3 bags left on the shelf), and some Brooklyn Beer to wash it all down.
Such simple ingredients for a snowy weekend in.
I hope the product manager at Zweifel gets a big fat promotion for bringing the Swiss potato chip market up to date by about 20 years. | | | | | As you mentioned, they HAVE your sort of chips on stock there. What happened is that the COOP Baar branch manager did not order enough such chips. It is not the fault of the Zweifel man. They at Zweifel only can deliver according to the orders of the outlets of the biggies and the orders of single shops

They should also introduce Prawn Cocktail, Cheese and Onion, Mild Chilli (with just plain pure Chilli Powder) flavours. | | | | | But I much prefer the "Inferno Chips" ! Really delicious

| | Re: Salt & Vinegar dreams | Quote: | | | | | Migros has kettle cooked Salt & Balsamic... it's a bit pricier (nearly 2x the cost) but quite tasty!
I actually happen to prefer the ones from Coop as the kettle cooked ones are a bit too crunchy for me and scratch the roof of my mouth. | | | | | ... and if you look on the back of the Migros crisps you'll see that they're made in the UK !
I'd guess they're from the same company that makes the in-house brand crisps for M&S or one of the other 'high end' chains.
Pretty good crisps, ridiculous price... no doubt due to the 1979 Schweizerkartoffeleinfuhrsteuerrecht

Zweifel brand S&V crisps have been available for quite a while already, in Migros and Coop in a blue bag.
Don't hold your breath waiting for the other flavours, though.

Years ago (about 5 or 6) one of these chip manufacturers here did make a roast chicken flavour. I don't know what happened to it but it disappeared . Sucks, I really liked it.

There are several flavours of crisps available in the Marinello shop in the main station in Zurich, underneath Bahnhofplatz. I think they're Kettlechips or something like that.

I like my artificial flavourings and unhealthily cooked potatoes thank you. |

Still waiting for S & V Pringles to be sold here. Always have to bring them in from another country.
To be honest the pringles range in general here in CH sucks given how many different flavours are available in other countries...
Someone please shoot the man who introduced Paprika flavour to mainland europe...
