Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

We took the kettle. It is very plasticky but reasonably quiet, fast and most impressively has a clearly visible water tank which illuminates blue with LED lighting when the kettle is heating. Obviously the original price quoted in the Coop leaflet would only be paid by a madman but the reduced price with stickers is actually less than the thing costs in Euroland.

I got that Kuhn Rikon mixer and also had problems. Although it still works, a couple of little things have gone wrong with the mixer (for example, I have to hold the lid down in "closed" position to mix or blend anything as the lock no longer works). It wasn't a very good buy, which is one of the reasons why I am replacing it with the simple hand blender from the new offer.
I also had problems with the mixer, although the opposite problem in that my bowl is permanently locked. I bought the whole Kuhn Rikon set that was on offer at that time (and several things I bought twice, one for our main house and one for our holiday apartment). Both of the kettles and one of the toasters I bought also broke. Not good value at all

Re: Coop - Grundig promo - KitchenAid FP offered instead

Heads up....it seems that Coop cannot get the Grundig food processor BUT are instead offering a limited number of KitchenAid food processors (model 5KFPM776) for 229 chfs with the full sammelkartens. There are a very limited number available and so far I know that in Zurich the St Anahof has a couple of red ones left, the Coop on the bridge between HB and Central has some black ones and Kreuzplatz has 2 black ones left.

They say the normal price is 549 chfs which is a little inflated but at 229 chfs it is a deal and better than the original offer.

It is the metal one so somewhat heavy, and it comes with lots of accessories.

Hi - stupid question....On the sammelkarten can you stick any of the stamps to fill up the page i.e. any picture of any appliance not necessarily the one you are collecting for...just checking....

Thanks very much for the tip. I'll confirm that they are indeed heavy and there's only one red one left now at the St. Annahof location.

On asking, I was told that they did not get the Grundig ones because they apparently don't function well.

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

I have one full and one partly full card. As I will be out of the country for a couple of months from Saturday onwards I won't be able to make use of them.

Any takers? PM me.

OK, they're gone.......

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

I bought the blender and while it is a good blender, it doesn't do what I need it to. (Basically, I was trying to decide between a blender for smoothies or a juicer - I made about 4 different smoothies and now I'd rather have a juicer.) So, if anyone would like the blender, no stickers needed. Make me a reasonable offer and it is yours.

The Coop's latest promotion is for Grundig kitchen appliances: mixers etc. Has anyone any experience with any of these? Even after collecting a page or two of stamps, they're not that cheap (of course the reductions from the "usual" prices are amazing!).

These Coop promos are often pretty good - the Sigg saucepans a few years ago were brilliant although more recently I haven't been tempted. But I didn't realize Grundig made kitchen stuff and the mixer in the promo isn't even on their website.

Any ideas?
We bought blender. I like it very much! it works perfectly. I saw prices for Grundig in Germany. It's really around halfprice, but of course you can find something cheaper.

ah, we also bought balance, but it was used even not a single time

I've got some completed sheets that I won't be using (I've taken the hand blender) if anyone wants them. PM me.

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

Having collected a full card I was disappointed to see Coop still hasn't restocked the Grundig food processors (Universal Kuechenmaschinen). Are these still generally not being restocked?

If it interests anyone, I saw 3-4 of the CHF 229 KitchenAid food processors in Coop in Center Eleven (Oerlikon) this afternoon.

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

I, or my ex-flatmates, have bought several of Coop Trophy's products, including a pan in 2006 (still alive and kicking), a steam pan, cutlery, and now the hand blender and the water boiler. I have no complaints; sure, most of the stuff can be found at better prices, but I'm very happy with all of it.

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

I just got the kettle a few days ago and it seems fine. I just took it up with my groceries and they charged the reduced (posted) price. Is there an additional discount for collecting stamps? If so, I guess I didn't get it but if not, it would seem the booklets and stamps are unnecessary now...maybe because the promo was supposed to be over by now? Not sure.

Re: Coop - Grundig kitchen appliance promo

Coop extended the stickers until the 21st.

Cards need to be redeemed by Sat. 4th of February.

If anyone needs some, I have some.

I don't believe they stocked them at all for purchase - the quality issue did not get resolved so the KitchenAid product was offered instead.

Have got to say I am super happy with my KitchenAid one - it is much quieter than many others I have used and has a great set of attachments all housed in a tidy container.

Okay, I've only been here 4 months, and I have no clue how the cards and stickers work (haven't seen or been offered any at Coop, either). It's probably too late for me to participate this time (though I saw and liked the Grundig blender recently), but to help me be ready next time, could somebody please explain how it works and where/when you get the stickers?

They have them at the Coop in the Neustadt-Passage in Zug, or at least they did earlier in the week.

During the periods when there is one of these offers running, you get one sticker for every 10 CHF you spend. Normally the cashier won't give them automatically but will ask you if you want them. You stick the stickers on a card (which the cashier will also give you) and, once the card is full, you can use it to get a big discount on whatever the current offer is. Usually there is one "big" item for which you need two cards, and a number of smaller items that you can get with one card.

The offers run two or three times a year, for couple of months each time. The kind of items on offer varies from one offer period to the next.
