Re: English pies found.

The best place for pork pies is any Murdoch publication - in my opinion.

Cheers,

I'd love it if they served a simple Pork pie.

Re: English pies found.

When I first lived in the UK, I just couldn't believe it then I first saw adverts for

PUKKA pies (apparently it isn't pronounced like p*ke) - hmmm my sentiments entirely.

I think this saying started before 1970 and it came from the Indian when British rule there. I find this reference. For some slang in English, you would never have guessed it.. especially if you are not from the area.. eg. "Dog and bone" is the telephone!

YES! Their Matador and Heidi pie's are heaven.

Also, Square Pie are very good. They have a few shops around London (Spitalfields and Selfridges)

With Easyjet being so annoying at times, I might have died of dehydration due to my jaw cannot be shut while trying to get to sample their pies in London!
