Unfortunately my mother left Korea for America just after the war and wanted to forget the past, so she never taught us kids any Korean! But she sure taught us how to enjoy Korean food.

I thought Dog Meat was a Korean special.

Interesting fact is that on Wikipedia; Switzerland is the first mentioned country as a country that eats dog meat that I find quite surprising:

Actually dog meat is not a Korean speciality. Majority of the Korean population doesn't eat dog meat. And it's very rare that women eat dog meat. I think there is a misconception that somehow Koreans must be eating dog meat all the time but that is definitely not true. And I have never met anyone who has cooked dog meat or have eaten dog meat!!!
