| Hi everyone, is there any way to prevent white mold from forming on my fruits so quick? I would buy raspberries/blackberries on Friday, and by Sunday I see mold on them. I store them in the fridge of course.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! | |

1) store them somewhere where there's not too much mould around. That is
not the fridge, which is usually poorly ventilated, humid and dark - ideal conditions for mould. If you have access to somewhere cool and dry, that's ideal.
2) even if stored properly, berries catch mould incredibly quickly. To prolong their life in your place - but not by more than 2 or 3 days max - , take them out of the pack, put them on a plate or tray in a single layer, indeally not touching each other, to avoid damage to the berries (which is where mould attacks first). Eat immediately any damaged (or "leaky") fruit.
