Re: How do you like your steak

I used to enjoy my steak incinerated but over the past 5 years or so, I've come to enjoy it medium. Perhaps the older I get, the less grilled I will prefer it?!

My husband and I were actually at the Goodman Steakhouse in ZH for the first time last week and I loved it! I had the 350g Rib Eye - medium. Drool frikkin drool. I really enjoyed it!

Re: How do you like your steak

Originally being from India, beef was not really an easily available option although I don't discriminate between anything meaty.

All new ball game after I moved to Italy and some of the best steaks I had were either in Brazil and a restaurant called MOMO in Rome...

gimme a medium rare steak any day now.......... gimme .... gimme ....gimme

and some one opened a thread about being a vegan and animal cruelty and what not .... some people I tell ya.......

Guys, I'm very much carnivore, but I have to say the dark haired woman was photoshoped till the wacom collapsed...

Though we all know no woman that shows in a magazine has not been photoshoped at all (even those before photoshop was invented), I don't think it's a fair take on this debate.

I call that the "tourist steak". He just goes through the frying pan for a couple of seconds saying "Thanks, but just looking". It's just a gridding machine away from tartar...

Lightning and mortar type of make-up have pretty much the same effect as Photoshop in television. May I remind you of the effect RTL had a couple of weeks ago on Dieter Bohlen?

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that this woman is not

a) wearing enough make-up to build a house
b) has been photoshoped to death
c) will melt because of the excess of high light
d) has been under the knife a couple of times

I have nothing against her, plastic surgery or Photoshop use. I just don't find it fair to compare these two women to make a point vegan versus omnivore.

I had more wrinkles in my 20s as a vegetarian than I do now almost 20 years later- and I don't do cosmetic surgery or fancy makeup etc. Everyone has a different genetic makeup and environment but for me, it was mostly due to stress. I don't know much about the health guru but Nigella has a very healthy self-esteem and doesn't obsess about what she's eating.

I was definitely skinnier back then but the obsession about what to eat and how to eat stressed me out big time and killed my skin! And lack of fat will definitely bring out those wrinkles too - not to mention cause a whole host of other problems for women's health.

We went to a restaurant in Colmar where I had the best fillet steak I've ever tasted. It was served with a big chunk of bone marrow on top and with a rich, dark, red wine sauce...

Oh God I feel hungry now..

I hate you

As for me. The steak needs to be as raw as possible but in the same time not impossible to be cut.

I need to know which restaurant in Colmar. Name and praise, PaddyG!

As to the original question... medium rare or medium; it depends on the steak.
