Electric Pizza ovens

So I'm currently living in a flat that doesn't have an oven, and I'm fed with craving pizza without being able to make my own. I've seen on toppreise.ch some fairly cheap electrical pizza ovens, but I was wondering if anyone here has used them before? I'd like to know if this works for quiches/pies as well... probably not but it seems worthwhile nonetheless. Thanks in advance for the EF wisdom!

Re: Electric Pizza ovens

To answer my own question, you can now get pulsed air mini electric ovens and they can cook just about anything. I've done pizza, quiches, slabs of salmon. All came out just fine! My choice was a Rommelsbacher BG 1050.

Any one knows where I could hire a pizza oven around Bern for a quartier fest?

Re: Electric Pizza ovens

Saw a video recently of somebody who hacked the pyro-clean function of a "modern" normal oven to bake pizza at 400-something degrees.

Didn't watch it to the end because I don't have such an oven and I'm not sure if I wanted to void the warranty if I had one...

I have the Roccbox for a few years now and i'm overall very pleased with it. It goes all the way to 500c, but for the pizzas we like to make and eat, i keep it at around 400c which bakes the pizza for around 90-120 seconds. I have the new "improved" wood burner on pre-order as the original one is everything but useless.

Re: Electric Pizza ovens

I can personally recommend the Aldi High temperature grill. It's a gas oven with additional pizza stone (30cm x 25cm or so, I think). Cooks a pizza in 90 seconds. It's also very good for searing meat or fish.
