'Vacherin au four' recipe

This looks rustic but stylish. It's so simple to prepare and bake and tastes fantastic.




Recipe for 4 persons:


- Buy a nice Vacherin Mont-d'Or (~500g)
- Pre-heat the oven to 200.
- Wrap the bottom of the cheese box in foil then take off the lid (this will make sure the cheese/wine doesn't flow out).
- Make 3-4 holes in the top of the cheesecrust and pour over 1DL of white wine.
- Put 2 cloves of garlic right in these holes.
- Cook for 20 mn.

To be served with potatoes or bread.

We made this last night and it was heavenly. I forgot about the wine though...still good! At our place it is all about the garlic!
