They do home delivery (Burger King, McD, Pizza Hut and KFC definitely do, not so sure about the rest)... probably not overseas home delivery though.

Me too. Do they still have the Frisco burger? We could get a bulk discount this way...

When your choice is between Coop/Migros, a Doner joint, McDonald's or Burger King, and maybe Subway... you sometimes want some more choices...
You forgot the Cervelat/Bratwurst-grills and
the Poulet-Güggeli-Grills

The solution is clear---I'm surprised no one has properly marketed this here yet.

Hi everyone!

Is there a KFC in Zurich? I'm going to have a few visitors who are big KFC fans (and I must admit I enjoy it every now and again despite not being at all into fast food). I tried to have a look around but ended up with nothing (which might very well indicate that there are no KFC around ;-)

Cheers

A local kid told me there is now a KFC in Luzern. Is that the one? What's the scoop on that?

KFC. I am serious

My eldest son is having a birthday on Friday and I have just realised - the best meal I could produce for him is a KFC feast.
Some may say - how sad - but we have been away from home for so long and everytime my kids see a KFC commercial on TV it is always the same reaction.

So - now I am reaching out if someone could please help me. As I presently do no own a car :

Does anyone out there have a relative / contact who would be willing to buy and courier a KFC feat for me? naturally I would cover all costs ......

I would appreciate any help to realise this for my son.

You do realize the nearest KFC is 1.5 hours away in France

So do you think it would somehow be worse for being stone cold and reheated at home? Is that possible?

Re: KFC in Switzerland?

There is no KFC in Switzerland.

One - a major problem is that the majority of people on the board approving restaurants actually own restaurants and the introduction of fast food restaurants means a major loss in lunch time revenues for them. I once - years ago - worked with these people.

McD tried so hard to make it into Zug. They failed on every turn only to eventually be permmitted to open one in Baar - and, I cannot comment on how it is going now - but due to all the expats working in Zug the Baar branch was well run over at lunch time. Loads made the bus trip just to eat a Maccas - and they are pricey here.

HOWEVER - my son has been longing for KFC for quite some time now and as his birthday is coming up (friday) I just thought of the perfect meal for him - but alas I dont have a car otherwise I would make the 1 hour drive to Mulhouse .... does anyone know how I could get a feast posted to me????
oven heated but nonetheless a real birthday treat and suprise. I bet anything this one would have him in tears!!

Re: KFC in Switzerland?

Why not show some true motherly love and make some genuin' Mama's home- fried chicken?* If you go all out with the batter, he might never long for the Colonel again Then you can promise him a genuine taste-test opportunity and head to Mulhouse (?) at first convenient opportunity. Or for the full-blown budget flight/KFC experience book some Ryanair tickets to Stansted in April and he can roll in KFC in the UK...just an idea for a birthday prez.

*(give yourself a week to clean the kitchen afterwards)

Re: KFC. I am serious

LiB??

I know there is no KFC in CH - chicken shack in Luzern - Have to look that one up.

Having thought about it - I am hoping to appeal to the heart and good nature of a comuter (Mulhouse etc) that would be willing to bring me back a bucket, coleslaw on Friday.

All failing I have decided that I will train it out there ... I know for one that the effort will really be appreciated and the kid is worth it.

Re: KFC in Switzerland?

I make my own fried chicken, I make chinese, india, fish and chips ... you name it I cook it. For this one-in-years experience is actually a KFC. I believe it is just a taste of home rather than the actual food. It is pure nostaligia.

I too have thought of a UK weekend with the kids - but alas the idea of KFC only came to me tonite and a weekend away will unfortunately not fit into the kids schedule - too short notice. Sure I could give him a gutschein ... but it would not be the same ....

He is insisting on taking the family out for his birthday whereas I want to do something special for him.

BTW - he will be 21 ... back in my day that was coming of age and his 18th wasnt such a big deal

The smell won't by all the other passengers on the train.

We let our kids choose what they want to eat for their birthdays - and they can have anything they want - as long as we can cook it.
(That gets round the buying it in problem).

Don't ask me why my (then six year old) wanted rabbit.
