Betty bossi - product reviews?

I get every month or so a catalogue for Betty bossi. I have to say some things are not needed or simply solve a problem but create another. I been trolling the boards for information or costumer/user reviews on their products but found very little, or at least little that seems believable/independent. Anyone knows a good site for costumers to compare notes?

For example they have this http://www.bettybossi.ch/de/shop/sho...aspx?anr=24557. Looks good BUT once i watched a youtube video, it become clear it's not as simple as shake and bake, hand mixing was still required and the cake is tiny, seems a waste of energy to turn the oven on for such a tiny cake. They say the 2nd tin can be used to bake a second cake but then that would throw the shake and bake out of the window as your 2nd form is already being used with the 1st cake. Glad i found that video saved my cash. Besides nothing wrong with old fashion cake baking LOL.

I am toying with buying this http://testsieger.bettybossi.ch/de/products/mixfit. I like the idea of tossing a few fruits, some milk turn the machine make a shake, turn it back drink from the cup it was made in. I have a fruit juicer but the time it takes to clean all the bits and pieces makes it a museum piece.

I am also interested in this http://www.bettybossi.ch/de/shop/sho...aspx?aid=37670 but again no info on how powerful, or costumer reviews found.

Anyone has any info on these products or a link to a site were they discussed.
Thanks in advance.

I would say to just get a real baking form, a real blender (the one I have you twist the bottom off, flush it, and it is clean) as you'll be a lot happier with i in he long run...

Re: Betty bossi - product reviews?

Kind of the Sharper Image for cooking. Some of the stuff is really useful, some of them strange, some of them expensive, some of them crap that falls apart after the second or third use.

Strange: The Gipfeler

Useful: Bowl with scale.

Crap: Vegetable Pencil Sharpener

Really?: Expensive roll of bags

Back to your shake mixer: It is very loud, but somehow useful. It is good to make smoothies but I still wonder how long the blade will last.

For the vacuum machine: If does not state what vacuum it can achieve I highly doubt it will be good. On the other hand, for triple the price you can get a semi-professional one. Which you can also use for sous vide cooking (also these books), which will rise the discussion of the safe bag.

Re: Betty bossi - product reviews?

Great, thanks for all that info aSwissInTheUS. i think i will stick to the smoothie method jeroen mentioned if the blade is not that trustworthy.

I am really impressed with that sous vide cooking method. I was originally thinking of the vacumer for closing things like crisp, raisins packets - my kids eat 1 handful a day but you can only get a 200g pack, by the time they halfway the left over raisins are hard and no longer tasty. But if i get a good enough machine, i can learn a brand new cooking process. More research needed, thanks.

Re: Betty bossi - product reviews?

From the moment Betty Bossi was taken over by Coop it has been nothing more than another product line.
