Why does it matter? Water is circulated over and over and over again.

isnt there some "fact" that typical tap water has basically been drunk at least 10 times and is just a chemical mix
Water is a chemical mix indeed. It consist of at least two chemical elements. You can easily avoid this by drinking pure Hydrogen.

because you are braindead thats why! and now trolling badly - how many times as tap water passed through people been processed and drank again etc etc ? isnt there some "fact" that typical tap water has basically been drunk at least 10 times and is just a chemical mix
I look forward to you providing me with a reference for this "fact". In them meantime, I point you to the "facts" and "links" and "citations" I have given you.

And you're calling me the troll. Well, I guess you have a sense of humour.

There is no fluoride in Swiss tap water, hence my point.

What's yours?

Tom
read the thread properly - people drink bottled water for a number of reasons and sometimes that is to avoid flouride or other shit - If they do NOT know that Swiss water does not have flouride they will still drink bottled water - a tap hardly has a list of the mineral/chemical breakdown of the water does it?

how do you know there is no flouride? source of info?

but curiously no direct answer -and it was quite easy to answer straightfowardly so other people will decide who is right.... why not answer why not take a guess

Here:

"Switzerland

In Switzerland since 1962 two fluoridation programmes had operated in tandem: water fluoridation in the City of Basel, and salt fluoridation in the rest of Switzerland (around 83% of domestic salt sold had fluoride added). However it became increasingly difficult to keep the two programmes separate. As a result some of the population of Basel were assumed to use both fluoridated salt and fluoridated water. In order to correct that situation, in April 2003 the State Parliament agreed to cease water fluoridation and officially expand salt fluoridation to Basel."

It's impossible to know how many times water has been circulated. It's an unknowable.

You can learn more about the Swiss water system here, if you are really interested, which I somehow doubt.

ETA:
Here's another one for your reading pleasure. 60% of the tap water in Lausanne comes Lake Geneva.

The water analysis for most Swiss tap water supply networks can be checked online at www.wasserqualitaet.ch

No fluoride in Switzerland - Basel was the last municipality to stop adding fluoride to tap water on June 30th, 2003, 8:00 am local time (precise enough for you?). On the very same day, the fluoride content in tap water decreased before reaching 0.1 mg/l of fluoride (which is the natural level of fluoride in aquifers) in the afternoon. Bottled water on the other hand may contain up to 7 mg/l of fluoride and still be labelled "suitable for baby food" (ie anything that isn't so labelled is higher in fluoride). Vittel has 0.14 and Volvic 0.2 mg/l of fluoride.

What was your point again?

that doesnt answer the question and you know it -smartarse
Being called a smartarse on the interweb by an anonymous nobody has made my day.

Actually, it expands on your question. Considering all the water on the planet has been around for several billions years, I would reckon it's been recycled plenty of times. So the answer to "how many times has water been recycled?" is impossible to answer.

people buy bottled water for various reasons
taste - some local tap water is foul tasting ( it may not be dangerous but thats another story)
avoiding certain chemicals - flouride for example

ok without looking at google - can you tell me your mineral content in your tap water you drink (assuming you drink tap water) - let me guess you CANNOT

I think you have just been owned on this
Oh, I think I can...

Die wichtigsten Inhaltsstoffe und Qualitätsdaten

Mineralstoffzusammensetzung
Fluorid 0.13 mg/L
Chlorid 15.5 mg/L
Nitrat 7.5 mg/L
Sulfat 32.0 mg/L
Hydrogencarbonat 181 mg/L
Calcium 58.9 mg/L
Magnesium 8.3 mg/L
Kalium 1.8 mg/L
Natrium 11.2 mg/L
Kieselsäure 5.2 mg/L
