McDonald's wins hands down.

I had the most awful chicken wrap at Burger King today. In fact, I threw the wretched thing out. The burgers were dry. There wasn't enough staff. And there was no soap in the bathroom.

These things do not happen at McDonald's.
It's interesting reading your thread. I find Burger King just awful and actually just wrote a complaint to the Swiss headquarter today, because the cashier very often also fixes food without wearing gloves and washing hands.

Herr Mod,

I would recommend you move this to general off topic, this is hardly food we're talking about!

I vote for King McHubby. He makes these epic burgers that require loads of mouth stretching. He uses a ridiculous amount of beef and piles on crispy bacon and cheese. A few veggies too. *swoons*

Just love the french fries of Burger King, however, always loved CBO of Mac . Wish they could open a coupon system where I can choose one from both :P

I'm 75 and have been to neither Burger King nor McDonald's, which I suppose makes me a fast-food virgin.
Is it something I need to add to my bucket-list? In which case I'd better get on with it
Thats probably why your reached 75 safe n sound... Stay away, Stay healthy !

I'm one year behind you and I've been twice to Mcdonald's, once in Basel and then in Bülach with my grandchildren. Everything is made of plastic in all colours, piles of rubbish to be rid of, and the bun/sqeezy thing I had in my mouth must have been made of diesel oil. In Basel I thought maybe it was just a bit of bad 'cooking' and that I had been unlucky but Bülach showed the real truth. How can we...

Actually, now there are both - it just started as Hungry Jacks because somebody else had copyrighted the name "Burger King" in Australia when the first Australian franchise agreement was signed ... this has now lapsed, so both names are around.

Among my friends in Australia, though, the big battle is between Nandos and Oporto (but most have gone with independent Portuguese chicken outlets, as the big names are too bland).

Oh, and I find both Burger King & McDonald's to be overpriced and of lower quality here ...
I think Hungry Jacks sued BK over them opening BK's in Au, so there are now now Burger Kings in Australia.

And Nando's is the best fast food that exists on the planet. Spicy grilled chicken with rice, fries or corn on the cob.....yummm

I agree with this one! Unfortunately the closest BK to Lausanne is on the autoroute to Geneva...So I'm stuck with McDonalds (My son doesn't complain about either though!)

Indeed, never have been a fan of BK, though I probably don't go to MD more than once every few years.

I'm not particularly fond of either one, but if it's just BK vs. McD, BK wins hands down.

Re: Burger King vs McDonald's

I agree, BK especially in Switzerland is a lot better.

Actually I've been to McDonalds in Oerlikon twice, the food was absolutely horrible (ok, even worse than usual fast food i mean...). Is there something wrong with this particular McFranchise?

Burger King burgers look and taste like actual meat, so they get my vote. Only main weakness is that the sauce they use sometimes isn't the tastiest depending on the burger.

My all time favourite is A&W burger washed down with a root bear float...

but lately In-N-Out and specialist places like Five Guys are starting to make an impression on me.

Hungry Jack = Burger King with different geographical branding.

Seen a rat in McDonald's in Boston.

But I like both in general, as I find they are different enough in taste.
