what to do with bags and bags of chili peppers?

i grow lots of chilis, use them for cooking etc but over the last years have amassed a substantial amount in the freezer ( in addition to the 6 jars of dried and the numerous plants on the balcony with this years crop ).

I need to clear out the freezer and looking for ideas..... keep in mind they are frozen so simple air drying wont work.

i can only have x litres of chili oil!

Well if you are even remotely considering giving some away and are Zurich based then here's defo one willing taker.

I love chilli peppers, the hotter the better, for curries and other dishes.

Would be happy to take some chilis and chili oil off your hands if you're anywhere near Bern. Mr. Wishes would eat chilis in his cereal if I'd let him.

Re: what to do with bags and bags of chili peppers?

As Bubba say in Forrestgump while talking about shrimp; " You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. There's, um, shrimp kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp in potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That's, that's about it."

Now replace all shrimps with chili

Re: what to do with bags and bags of chili peppers?

HAHA, no probs with the requests but they are frozen and turn to mush when defrosted...

i have dorset nagas, naga morich , yellow and red habaneros, scotch bonnets, jalepeneos red and green, cayenne pepper, prarie fire, numex twilight (surprising hot) and a first for me this year the tree chili Capsicum pubescens which is frost hardy.

plus some unknows which i picked in during travels in africa.

i have made mango hot sauce with my last batches and its HOT but again i can only make so much hot sauce....

Ideas...
Coconut and chili ice-cream is yummy.
Really nice in hot-chocolate in winter before bed.
Chili vodka (or other spirit).

Urm.......Fix horse races?

And here's another taker in Zurich

Only if it's a very light frost, a hard frost will still kill it.

You can dry frozen pods in a dehydrater, just put them in frozen.

Chile jam is good to make, I prefer rocotos for that, jalapenos also work well, habs so-so.

Oh what a pity you are based on Earth, could take me light years to get there before the others to claim all those frozen chillies!
