Is there a place in Zurich that i could buy super hot fresh chilis? like 'Naga Bhut Jolokia'? I have seen habaneros if i remember right in Aggarwal on Kernstrasse, what other places there could be?

Thanks a lot in advance, would be super nice to know!!
As some else mentioned, El Maiz sells that in hot sauce form. I know, I downed 3 teaspoons of it, and then had to take the necessary measures to combat the feeling I had 4 seconds later, and ate 1.5 liters of sauer rahm and heavy cream, plus about a loaf of bread. Whilst making an ass of myself.

Why? Do you know someone who brags about how specy of food they can eat, and you want to stick it to them once and for all?

Re: Hot Hot Hot Chilis?

Definitedly will go to El Maiz then, thank you again!

The Coop/Migros small chilis does not really do it for him. I mean, he eats but he would like to have something much more hotter. So i will go to check the El Maiz in hopes to find

try habaneros first then....

the coop ones are birds eye and in absolute ideal situations have a heat rating UPTO 225K, habaneros can have upto 570K

nagas in ideal conditions can be over 1 million but thats in absolute ideal conditions with just the right amount of watering.

i have had habaneros that were hotter than dorset nagas so it all depends!

UTH: so wwhich do you have or is there misunderstanding and you dont have them?

Re: Hot Hot Hot Chilis?

They're not "not hot hot", but in case anyone near Zürich is interested, El Maiz current has several 340g jars of "La Victoria" Jalapeño slices going for half-price (CHF 2.85). Not my favorite brand, not super hot, but adequate for nachos, and a bargain at that price (IMHO)!

ExpatDeLuxe has no particular reputation at present
Re: Hot Hot Hot Chilis?

coop sometimes has habaneros and jalapenos. They are usually in one tiny box, so you have to look close to get them
