Sunday Brunch in Basel - with drinks?

Hello EFers

I have a strong urge to indulge on a bounty of brunch buffet delights while imbibing buckets of bubbly or bloody marys (lots of Bs unintended ). Quick research shows zic zac for 40 but not sure on beverages, and les trois rois for 100 plus a champagne.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Sunday Brunch in Basel - with drinks?

I've seen signs for Sunday Brunch outside of Mr. Pickwicks, theirs doesn't start until about 2pm if I remember right - but I'd think it's a likely place to find alcoholic offerings to go with your meal.

Les Garecons (at the Badischer Bahnhof) has a wide range of brunch options plus bar. Pretty sure they can make a mean bloody mary.

Les Garešons is a pleasant way to while away a couple of hours over a leisurely brunch. Buy a paper (an unfortunately small range of English language papers) or magazine from the station bookshop and relax on the sofas.

There's no bacon and sausage style buffet, but what they do, they do well. I'm an oinky pig so I usually go for the Exquisite breakfast - nice omelette with balcony bits, bread and jam, croissants, sliced meat, smoked salmon, fruit salad and orange juice (or prossecco if you prefer).

I've not had Bloody Mary, but like kmsc said, I imagine they would do it well.

Wow, agreed that a Monday off is requisite! Did not pull trigger on anything today but the craving is quite strong to tackle one of these suggestions in urgent fashion, thanks to all!

Hoping to enjoy the Braunen Mutz "Buurebrunch" today. Noticed they recommend reservations so I just sent a request Will provide the rundown if successful. Tschuss!
