Where to buy a blowtorch?

Want to make creme brulee. Don't have a grill, so I need a blowtorch... but I have no idea where sell them - nothing on the websites of mediamarkt, Ikea, Coop City. So I'm stumped. Any ideas? I live in ZH.

Re: Where to buy a blowtorch?

If you want a silver plated one then try somewhere like Globus, but a simple, gas canister, blow torch can be found in any big DYI store, Jumbo, Heim & Hobby etc.

Re: Where to buy a blowtorch?

Casa has them too. I find the DIY blow torches from Jumbo and the like a bit too much for crème brulée.

Re: Where to buy a blowtorch?

Migros make excellent crême brulée in their "Selection" range. Stick the attractive dishes on a plate, and nobody will know the difference! Simples!

Re: Where to buy a blowtorch?

As said before, get to a Coop Bauhobby look for a blue Camping Gaz one. It has disposable canisters and the last one I bought was 10 Chuffs with 5 gas canisters in the clearance section.
