Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

Looking for Greek yoghurt - specifically not just Greek style, ideally the brand Total, somewhere near Zurich.

Jelmoli and Globus have it, but only small (125gm) tubs. Love to find the 500gm tubs.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

Can you buy a small tub and make some yourself?

That's what I do... I'm not Greek, but that's the stuff I was raised on and my dad isn't here to make it for me..

Hi Confloozed - it's not in our local coop - which one have you seen it in? And did they have the big tubs (500gm)?

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

Aligro has Kolios which is (IMHO) better than Total. Has also won a price or something for its high quality. 100% greek with excellent texture and taste

They sell it at a variety of sizes up to 1kg packages!

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

I think that all the large hypermarket Coops will stock Total. Whether the smaller ones do might depend on local demand.

I don't know what is the biggest size is, as I use it occasionally to cook with. It is at the Coop in Wädenswil, at the very least.

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

The big hypermarket Coop near us (Oberwil, Baselland) used to sell Total 0% and 2% greek yoghurt but stopped a few months ago. If anyone has found a good alternative somewhere I'd love to know.

Perhaps this is thinking really far outside the box but couldn't you just buy four 125ml tubs rather than one 500ml tub?

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

Migros sells huge tubs of a Turkish yogurt that tastes exactly like Greek yogurt, I think it is called Hazal or something? I might be wrong on the name, but it comes in a blue tub container. It is really good!

Re: Actually really Greek yoghurt in Zurich?

OK so....in case of any confusion. Greek yoghurt isn't Greek and most yoghurt in Greece or eaten by Greeks isn't Greek yoghurt. You're looking for strained yoghurt or labneh which is a mediterranean food and available from any mediterranean store.
