Calorie Free Noodles for Dieting in Switzerland

Has anyone heard of these noodles that basically are calorie free, gluten free and carb free?

Do they sell them in Switzerland?

Re: Calorie Free Noodles for Dieting in Switzerland

Hey thecapaccino,

According to the following thread they are called Shirataki noodles and are occasionally available at Nishi's Japan shop:

Shirataki Noodles

http://www.nooodle.com/what-is-nooodle/

I'd never heard of them before your thread, thanks! I'd love to give them a go.

Do tell if you find some.

I didn't see where you can order on the webpage - have you done so recently? (I was looking at their German version, maybe I missed it?)

I bought shirataki noodles at http://living-low-carb.de

However I don't know if they deliver to CH. I had them delivered to EuroPaket in Waldshut since I do my shopping there.

Re: Calorie Free Noodles for Dieting in Switzerland

I looked for them in New Asia Market as well today, none (sigh)

They helped me a lot during the Dukan Diet!

Please let me know if you can find any.

Cheers!

Re: Calorie Free Noodles for Dieting in Switzerland

This thread made me think of the book Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett where Famine (one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) has taken up making "health foods" for diet freaks to die of starvation through lack of any kind of nutrient what so ever. Hugely succesful of course in the West...

Those calorie-free noodles taste really good with lots of sweet chilli sauce.

Yeah, I thought of it too, but couldn't remember (or google) the name of the product itself...

Re: Calorie Free Noodles for Dieting in Switzerland

I ordered some from Easydietfoods.ch. They have macaroni, fettucini, and angel hair pastas. They come in small single serving packets. I've used them in soups and as a pasta substitute with a tomato sauce.

Well yes. In fact that's all you need. You sit down, and imagine eating something. There's no other way. It's not possible, and it confuses me that some people don't get such basic principles. Even snake oil has calories.
