I've never tried it, but there is this beer which often generates a lot of interest. I can't link directly to the site (E.F. rules and all that) ..
However, a name change may be in the offing . . . https://www.englishforum.ch/general-...g-no-more.html

That is funny. I bet the beer is awful though.

Jokes apart, just the cheese is unbeatable :-) | | | | | British cheese is the best - especially the blues.
As for beers, as an earlier poster mentioned, Rio Getränkemarkt is really good for a variety of Swiss and imported beers - Sudwerk brew a few beers that I enjoy, as does Doppellau, and Rio has a variety from each brewer most of the time.
Also, on Quöllfrisch, I quite like their dunkel (dark beer) - and the Schwarzer Kristall is another drinkable dark beer from the same brewery.

My haul from Zurich last week. Mainly from Intercombistibles - Der Laden on Badenerstrasse supplemented by a few imperial stouts from the British cheese centre. | This user would like to thank eyebeebe for this useful post: | |

I usually just drink a couple light beers a month, here in Switzerland, Heineken is my first choice. Müller Bräu lager is also a good light beer that is Swiss made.
I enjoy the German beers probably the most. Rothaus Pils is a simple and normally priced beer that's pretty tasty. I also enjoy the Ganter brand that is available locally in the Freiburg, DE area.
My tastes are pretty simple though.

I thought I'd add a link to Rio Getränke's website, so you can check out their selection.
They have quite a bit, and I find their prices very reasonable - for example, if you're after some Bundaberg ginger beer (nonalcoholic), it's cheaper there than any other place I've found it in Switzerland ... and I've looked a bit ...

Despite being profoundly allergic to cheese. Although I'm not against a German or a Belgian beer on occasion I just thing ours are better.

But I have a lot of British beers and many more British style beers brewed here in CH. Today on tap I have Prince of Ales, my own recipe Yorkshire Ple Ale, Kitchen Brew Session IPA and a NEIPA, Peaches and Cream brewed by 2 Scottish guys at Haarige Kuh in Interlaken.
But the 3 taps change regularly. Next week I'll have a Coffee Imperial Stout from Fyne Ales in Scotland on.

We use this place https://www.bierlagersbottleshop.ch/
For IPA lovers they have a great selection of Verdant beers from Cornwall as well as many others from the UK.
Fantastic selection, all tastes catered for, also at the moment free delivery if you order over 66 francs worth which is very easy to do.
Cheers!

It always annoys me that it's the only beer on tap in most restauraunts in Freiburg even though Rothaus is so much better.
