Mmm. Looks like the simplest thing in the world to make at home...

and I haven't eaten them for years, so I think I might just do some myself. Thanks for the inspiration.

Re: Churros!

I know that. If I requested to know where I can purchase them, surely I have a reason? And yes, I did google my request. Churros are available at Desperados in Dietlikon, but that's a little out of the way for me.

Its a free forum, so troll/ snark away, even at the simplest of queries.

It's a free forum indeed, so I do feel free to comment on a great idea you've given me for tonight's pudding.

Having a bad day?

Re: Churros!

I know you say Dietlikon is too far away for you but there is the "Fresh Fish Mercato" (not sure about the exact name) next to Toys r us and they used to sell frozen churros.

Re: Churros!

Come to think of it- having a pretty good day, in fact.

I am glad my post inspired you to make churros. Its the assumption that the OP has to be given a step by step to googling that seems unnecessary. The reason I decided to post the query is because:

1. I googled at first. The first page was all German, which I don't know very well, so decided to post the query here.
2. I searched on the forum as well, and there were no previous threads. I thought it might be good to have a thread here in case others have this simple request in the future.
3. I am taking my little nephew on a walk on Wednesday. He loves churros and he can't walk long distances. I thought it would be cute to plan a walk along a road where we could "suddenly" come across churros.

So those were the reasons for me posting my request.

Don't worry - with a bag full of churros, you wont be short on the attention of dogs.

In Brazil we have it filled with Dulce de Leche. Now I feel like it! It is probably my first real pregnant craving! And I'm already entering my 8th month. I think I'll also have to go to Sihlcity!!

The word "craving" goes so well with "churros", doesn't it! ;-) And the dulce de leche filled churros sound fantastic! Maybe you won't get them here, but hopefully you land yourself a big bag of sugared churros soon!

Take care and best wishes for your delivery

Re: Churros!

There WAS a stand in the Xmas market in the Zurich main station, so maybe next time. I've seen churros sold in other markets and fairs.

Churros!

Churros are so good and super easy to make. You don't need as much oil as this recipe calls for, use a small pot with enough oil to fill it 1-1.5" deep. Everything ca be bought at your local shop.

Edit: wow, guess I should have read all the responses before posting a recipe.

That's one of the reasons I like 'em- you can get the ingredients anywhere! My mom makes them for my nephew even in India!
