Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

Hello.

Do you know mayby - where are restaurants in Fribourg where beers (non-pasteurized and non-filtered) are produced - on spot.

Best regards,
Adrianos.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, and not in the city, but the only locally brewed (Seisler) beer, that I know of, is available in bottles to drink at home, from 'Fleisch und Brau', which have three shops - Düdingen, St.Ursen and Alterswil.

Basically a butchers and micro-brewery under the same roof.
I know brewing is done at the Düdingen shop, but am unsure if this is for all three locations.

Re: Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

There is a local beer festival that I attended many moons ago. You can try all the local productions. Here are links to some of the local providers.

I remember I tried different beers from the Fri-mousse

Enjoy and as always consume with moderation.

The Freiburger Biermanufaktur brews a series of beers, some of which are non-filtered/non-pasteurised, I believe. I can highly recommend them.

Re: Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

Hello.

I need to refresh this thread.
The microbrewery "Brasserie Haldemann" (from Sugiez) has open a bierbar in Fribourg recently - Bierbar "LaBlonde", Grand Rue 65.
They have a lot of their own beers served by taps: Ale beers and Lager beers.

Re: Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

Freddy Haldemann is an IT specialist who started brewing as a hobby, which is now probably his main job. He has a small restaurant behind the "big" hotel at Sugiez railway station (On the TPF line from Fribourg to Neuchâtel) which is open 4 days a week.

Re: Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

Congratulations to Mr. Freddy Haldemann, that the brewing is his hobby and job !
What can I say more about this bierbar in Fribourg. The atmosphere/climate is very good in this bar. Barmans can speak English, German and French.

Hmmm, I can almost say the same about the Freiburger Biermanufaktur in Fribourg. They have also a bierbar.

Pity that "Fri-Mousse" does not have such a bierbar as Haldemann :/
The microbrewery is open only every Saturday from 8:00 to 16:00.
They have really really good beers.

I think the last "bierbar" is in Posieux (not far away from the Fribourg) - Brasserie La Croix-Blanche. Their "La Blonde" Blond (Gold) Ale bier is one of the tastiest I`ve tried.

I have no idea whether the "Brasserie du Chauve Sàrl" from Fribourg has a bierbar.

Re: Local beers, restaurants in Fribourg

Haldimann used to sell take away beer in a large glass jar, about 2 liters, with a deposit on the glass.

Maybe on your next visit you could ask for one and enjoy it at home?
