That is so sweet of you to offer! I shall try in Zurich first especially now someone has said they saw it as Shil City.

Re: Irn Bru at Coop

Forumers, did you know that you can send a message to Coop by e-mail asking which stores in your vicinity sell Irn Bru? They answered one of my questions within five hours

I thought I'd be adventurous and try the 'Hawaiian Punch' drink next to the irn-bru.

Big mistake. It's horrible!

Amazing how popular Vimto is in the middle-east. They even have a factory out there making the stuff.

And they'll never know the adolescent pleasure of mixing it with vodka.

This stuff is as thick as syrup though and very easily available in Switzerland.

Only 1CHF per can too

LOL

I almost bought some myself, has more to do with childhood memories than actual liking though, so I skipped it.

It does make a pretty good "slush float" if you freeze it for a bit (until slushy) and pour it over vanilla ice cream. Mmmmm used to get those in Hawaii.

Tried the Irn Bru, reminds me of an American drink called Big Red that's (mostly) only available in the South - except that Irn Bru has some lemony kick that Big Red doesn't have.

Re: Irn Bru at Coop

Made my way to the Coop in Bachen-Bülach today and found some of Rebus's favourite beverage after being persuaded by all these folks here. It reminds me strongly of a drink I had as a child - TIZER (The Appetiser), much the same really.

Why is it that whenever someone mentions things from my childhood the slogans jump into my head... Now all I can think is "Irn Bru, made in Scotland from girders" and "We can tell it's Tizer when are eyes are shut". Both complete with accent/tune as appropriate
