alcohol free beer in switzerland

WHY, don't migros+coop sell alcohol free beer such as bavaria, ...?
so the only way is to go and buy it from Germany.

I think Denner & Landi also have alcohol free beers - not my specialty

There is no such thing as 0.0% beer.

<0.2% is about as low as you can get.

Re: alcohol free beer in switzerland

First the beer is brewed, and then it is filtered removing nearly all the alcohol, there is always a tiny amount of alcohol left. The resulting beer is taxed as alcohol free. I find Landi beer is good, it is brewed in Germany, they also sell "alcohol free" beer, which is drinkable.

Re: alcohol free beer in switzerland

Some unfermented apple juice has more alcohol than many alcohol free beers.

Re: alcohol free beer in switzerland

Is my memory serving me correctly, when I have a recollection of low alcohol beer? ...... or is this something I've imagined or confusing with Watneys Red Barrel.

If I'm right, then it wasn't as strong as normal beer, but didn't taste like dishwater like the alkohol free ones do.

A bit like Café de Paris fizzy pop.

Re: alcohol free beer in switzerland

The standard for "alkoholfrei" here is <0.5%. There are a few 0.0%s around though. Here's a list:

http://www.irm.uzh.ch/downloads/vmfp...reies_Bier.pdf

Of those, easily the nicest are Leermond and Sonnwendlig. You should be able to get Leermond in most large Coop branches and even some Migros (look for it near the iced tea and other soft drinks.)

They must have to boil the hell out of it to get it to 0.
