Coop prix vs Migros budget bottled mineral water

Spending a small fortune on bottled water at the mo and since in the uk at least the supermarket branded ones from asda, tesco, etc. were found to be just filtered water from the mains, I haven't ever bought it.

Just wondering if it is any different here in CH? Has anyone tried coop prix water or the migros one, or any others, that they would recommend?

Re: Coop prix vs Migros budget bottled mineral water

I have tried prix garantie because of the high calcium levels in there. It's been a while as I have now Farmer water (higher calcium and magnesium) but prix garantie is ok. To be honest we mostly use tap water in refill bottles from squeasy or Sigg and when we're out and about take a cheap 1.5 liter bottle with.

"Farmer" brand mineral water from Landi at CHF3.50 for a six pack of 1.5 litre fizzy stuff, which is actually Adelboden water is a bargain (especially when CHF3.50 was £1)...

Tapwater and a Sodaclub machine are a cheaper and take up a LOT less space in your shopping bag.

Re: Coop prix vs Migros budget bottled mineral water

Just did a taste test with hubby using Evian and tap water. The tap water tasted softer and smoother than the Evian, which was a shock to us, but we did find there to be a slightly strong, though non nefarious, smell from the tap water which wasn't present for the Evian. What could be causing this?

Olfactory hallucinations?

Did you fill an Evian bottle with tapwater make a hidden mark, put both of them in the fridge overnight, then do a blind test?

What on earth do you mean by "slightly strong"

Another reason to carefully choose your water is its Uranium content

Well stop it. It's silly and unnecessary in Switzerland.
