Re: Shops for Scotch Malt Whisky?

I'm not an expert but this store has quite a selection:

I've been to and can recommend the location in Maur.

Re: Shops for Scotch Malt Whisky?

How is the Lagavulin distillers edition, I have not tried it.
It seems to be all over now. coopathome have it, globus has it in stock, and even galaxus has it listed. Also saw it at schuler wein.
what did it cost at duty free? it runs around 99 francs in most of these places.

The distiller's edition is double matured, with one of the maturations being in Pedro Ximenez casks, so you get that calming mediterranean oaky sherry note subtly mixed in with the classic Lagavullin taste.

I can't remember what I payed at the airport but I think it was 110 CHF or something like that.

Be careful with the direct price comparisons though as it comes in two different bottle sizes. I fell into that trap once, thinking I had a bargain until I took a closer look.

Hi, I a member of the SMWS, and sometimes buy from Cadenhead's in Baden, Eddie's in Horgen & Anne McKenzie's in Einseideln. Apart from online shops, does anyone have any other recommendations in the Zurich/Schwyz area?

Thanks, Greg.
Yes "Cadenhead" in Baden, Aargau is to be the second best in Switzerland https://www.badenertagblatt.ch/aarga...86947:msngrin:
