Cadbury flatly denies changing anything but Flakes just don't taste the same anymore - anyone else found this to be the case? They used to be THE must-have item to bring from the UK and now we are all very much "meh" about them.

They taste the same to me.

To be honest, most U.K. chocolate tastes pretty bad compared with most Swiss chocolate. Perhaps you're just used to the Swiss stuff more which far better quality?
I disagree with both of you.

They recently started selling Cadbury's Whole Nut and Fruit and Nut bars at a kiosk I frequent, so I bought one of each - expecting disappointment.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only had the flavour not changed, but they were as delicious as I'd remembered.

I think it helps to think of Cadbury's and Läderach as being purveyors of two entirely different products: comparing their chocolate is like comparing stout and lager.

"Shipping charges are calculated on the size and weight of each item ordered. "

I ordered 2,200 teabags = £32.98 + shipping £14.88 = £47.86
Didn't get stung with import tax to my recollection.
Are you looking at going into business? Thats like a four years supply. Or you drink tea like water

4 cups a day for a year and you've already used two thirds of them and that's just one of the people in this house. If I were to factor in the other two as well I reckon it's probably about a year's supply for us.

I think that's true to some extent but I once did a blind tasting on a load of youngsters when back in the U.K. as an experiment.

Swiss chocolate, Cadburys, and some German chocolate.

It was unanimous. The German chocolate was disgusting. The Swiss Chocolate was okay but the winner was Cadburys.

I wonder what the survey would show here. Perhaps a teacher could oblige?

I think of british chocolate as 'quaffing' chocolate, and swiss as imbibing.

Imbibing indeed when you get the best quality black chocolate filled with ...
absinthe or Kirsch.

Villars also do absinthe filled dark chocolate wow.

Re: Hard to find UK foods in Switzerland

I found it difficult to get simple things like brown sugar and dark cocoa. Now I just bring them over with me from the States.

Re: Hard to find UK foods in Switzerland

Talking of changes to Cadbury's, has anyone tried Creme Eggs since the 2015 recipe change? I tried one last week and it was massively disappointing. It definitely tastes different - a bit coconut-ty. Apparently, the shell used to be made with Dairy Milk, but isn't anymore. Seeing as it's owned by Mondelez now, I was thinking it might be Milka they use.

Either way, it's another product they managed to cut corners on to the point of ruining it.
