Pharmacies have it. I bought some at my local Sunstore.

You can also find it online at afoodave.ch which is an American food store online.

Re: cream of tartar

In German it is called Weinstein. Try Globus or special cake shops

This has natrium bicarbonate added, which is useless to stabilize beaten eggwhite.

Re: cream of tartar

Well - after I finally sorted the brown-sugar out (by mixing it myself) the next recipe wants cream of tartar.

It is available here, might be a new address for some.
50g for 6 franks
To be fair, amazon wants € 6.79 for 30g.

Re: cream of tartar

You can get a pound of it on iHerb for CHF 9.11 + shipping. Granted, shipping is more than the product but it works out to 4 Rappen per gram compared to the prices you list above. Might be worthwhile if you're A) going to bake a lot and B) need something from iHerb anyway?

Thanks for the tip. But I don't shop with iherb and at this amount I would have to bequest most of it.
