British General Election results [pub or restaurant showing them]

Hi, this is probably a tall order (!), but does anyone know of a pub or restaurant that will be showing the election results?
Thanks

Eh?

Even in the UK this isn't (or at least wasn't when I lived there) something you went to a pub to watch.

To drown your sorrows afterwards maybe....

Results won't be in until the morning. Tune in to WRS (DAB+) who will have a special report from the Hotel Warwick in central Geneva.

Seriously? I think I'd rather sit in a pit of mousetraps and shove knitting needles in my eyes.

Well I didnt say I was going to join them. I'll probably listen to Swiss Jazz or Swiss Pop tomorrow morning.

However the results will be interesting. Wonder if the pollsters will get it right for a change.

Fingers crossed for a Labour win - and then leftie luvvies can experience a proper left leaning labour government and a campaign of terrorism. It will be like 1975 all over again

I think you've mistaken the election for the Super Bowl.

1975 was a great year. I got my first electric guitar, saw Led Zeppelin in their prime, and platform shoes were still a thing.

On the downside: Jensen went bust and Graham Hill died.

Re: British General Election results [pub or restaurant showing them]

From the BBC; add an hour for CET

Quote:
The first clue as to which way the vote may have gone will come shortly after polling stations close at 22:00 BST, when the BBC, ITV and Sky release their exit polls.

Similar exit polls carried out at the previous two general elections came very close to predicting the result correctly.

The first actual results to come in are traditionally the three Sunderland constituencies, who vie to get their counts declared first. They should be in by midnight.

The first key marginal constituency result is expected in Nuneaton around 01:00 BST. It was won by the Conservatives in 2015.

After this the results will really start to pour in, with most counts completed by 06:00 BST.

Some won't be in until lunchtime on Friday, with Berwick-upon-Tweed, Blyth Valley and Wansbeck usually last to declare.

However, the overall outcome of the election should become clear much earlier than that.

The Mousetrap closes before the polls does, plus I don't think Grumpy has any knitting needles.
