We used to have free hot+cold drinks+fruits+snacks when I worked at Amer. unies, but people usually liked the other perks: gym, bbqs, language courses, movie nights,..etc. Which I haven't really heard of here.
I've never heard of them anywhere.

Most of the companies I've worked at (here and the UK) will provide free hot and cold drinks as well as at least water, sometimes juices or Coke, etc. If you get your drinks from a supplier, often they will throw in some free promotional biccies or crisps once in a while.

One place I worked at had a deal with some organic delivery service which would drop off some ropey looking seasonal fruit every Monday.

It's usually only the bigger companies which have stuff like a subsidised canteen, gyms, clubs (like a footie side) and events.

Re: Healthy snacks vendors in/around Zürich

Much of the so-called "healthy snacks" are loaded with sugar. Or are entirely artificial.

Buy fruits, berries, various nuts, possibly some mundane crackers - done.

If you're keen on spending too much money on something that isn't really any better https://www.superfood-shop.ch/en/

Healthy nutrition isn't really all that difficult.

Water is available from the tap all day!

Beer, wine, and various food items on birthdays.

We get free coffee (nespresso capsule machines all over, with a range of pods), cold drinks (mineral water, sparkling mineral, coke, coke zero, rivella and a few other things).

Also get free language classes... BBQs, movie nights, team drinks, etc.

Wine/Beer (in the office) is available, but people tend to drink it only when there are special events (e.g. someone's birthday, or a late team meeting, or a deliverable successfully delivered).

Oh yes, and we are hiring

M.

On a serious note - this 'snack' thing just seems to usually excuse lower sallaries, I don't think real experts would not see through this gimmick. Why would they care? .
Not attract to someone to work in a place of course (as there are others things more important), but it makes the time spent in the office a bit more pleasant and when people are provided with a bit of fuel they can easily work overtime without even realising....smart move, you can't imagine how efficient this little trick can be, particularly for young folks who don't have that much of a life apart from work anyway.

Excellent! Please let us know where and what jobs?

No, seriously, that looks like a company that takes care of the employees

Cyber Security (both IT and OT) is the field - drop me a PM if that's of interest.

Any views on this forum aren't representative of my employer - purely personal. I don't mention them to make this distinction easier.

If the field matches, I'm happy to swap to business mode

This is so true...I only gave them limited amount of unpaid overtime..and mainly because I did not want my bosses stuck in it by themselves. Asking for an hour dentist appointment was like pulling teeth. I always had a really good excuse of either a symphony or a rock band practice.

Dunno. I am in edu and prefer solid salaries and awesome resources than freebies of questionable quality. The vending machine where I am right now is always almost empty by 6pm but is also so overpriced that I never use it. I think it is not a bad thing. Got my own food and snacks are meh..

Which was not OP's question, of course..they should not care. But healthy snacks with minimized packaging either needs good tlc and ways to keep it sanitary and fresh, appealing, or nobody eats it and it will be a waste. Grapes sound awesome...cherries stain. Apples. Nuts - not really, makes me think of germy bar bowls of nuts. Kale chips are awesome but do not think will excite anyone. Dried apples, mango slices...ňam. Cruditès that OP can come to work super early and cut up. Migros catering does them, actually. Or stick a large bottle of ice cold gazpacho in the office fridge with little cups on the side. With whole wheat croutons...Melon?
