Indian Food Lovers

Hello Readers,
I am just curious to know if there are Indian food lovers in this community. I came across with a reseller who delivers the Indian Food Tiffin in Zürich.
Ranging between just CHF 20 to CHF 30 per meal according to the taste.
That also mentioned that on purchase of 10 tiffin together the 11th tiffin would be free of cost.
I loved Kheer, Dal Makhni and much more. It's really tasty.

I'd love to have something like that in Basel! I have been to a few Indian restaurants here but none offered a Thali as far as I saw

Tiffin is a great word, and one that the Brits donated to India in the Victorian era, during the Raj -- but it's not used in Britain now, and no one will know what you mean.

I'm not quite clear on the poll you posted. If it's essentially just a device to market some food service, then it's much better to do the decent thing, and pay for some targeted advertising.

Re: Indian Food Lovers

Indian food here is crazily overpriced and really not worth the effort. From someone who lived in India for 13 years.

And rent, ingredients and staff wages in India are the same as here?

Yes, some Indian food is expensive, but many small places I go to in K5 with my Indian and Sri Lankan friends are very reasonable.

Re: Indian Food Lovers

There was once a restaurant/takeaway in Langstrasse Zürich called Aggarwal. Its since gone but it was the best. Good food-Thali and really reasonable price. A Samosa was 2 CHF not the rip off 4.50 that it is now in many places. The best places have gone.

And don't say that the food is expensive because its Zürich. Its because the owners are greedy.

For a very cheap option and still good quality in central Zürich: Kormasutra
For lunch they do "Napf", you get a box and fill it with whatever you want from the lunch buffet. All for only 12CHF

But its also for meat eaters so the Vegi food is "contaminated". And the prices for Vegi in the restaurant are anyhow crazy
