What accent do you speak with so we can all take the p1ss too?

His accent is pretty genuine for where he was born and brought up.
I thought he had a lisp?

I don't care, he can cook. Whatever his agents are doing is his business. It is not like if we had a crew of people working for us, we'd be making sure 24/7 that all of them are constantly creating a spotless genuine and authentic image. He has a family and a life, too.

Wonder why that is?
You can't beat Älplermagronen mit Röstzwiebeln and Gerstensuppe*...! That's why. (c'mon, you know why)

*I'm not kidding entirely, these are some dishes I love to have sometimes, plus the places where we go are "cheap" (Swiss "cheap" of course)...after you climbed up a hill with a 5 y.o. in your arms you do feel that's the best food ever...lol

Sometimes. I ordered what a wurst salad the other day in the mountains and I couldn't eat it. One lettuce leaf and a big plate of sliced Lyoner Wurst swimming in mayonnaise. Food rarely makes me gag but this did.

Not sure what you expected. Wurst salat is salad in the same way a Bombay duck is duck. It's drunk food at its very drunkiest.

I used to love the stuff. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole now, any more than I'd eat a doner kebab in naan bread with everything on it or chips with curry sauce on.

I was in the mountains snowboarding. I wasn't drunk. There wasn't much choice.

Marmots? Chamois? Slow moving skiers?

Anything is better than wurst salat if you're sober.

I went to a mountain restaurant in Germany last year and the chalk-board special was rabbit. It was delicious too.

I know that now but I couldn't stomach another bratwurst mit pommes.

I take your point.

They sell crossbows at a reasonable price in our local hunting store, if you want me to pick one up for you before your next trip up to the mountains...

Delia Smith's books are what you turn to if you never learned the basics. A bit like buying underpants Marks And Sparks. Not exciting but they serve a basic need.

Delia Smith is the opposite of Jamie Oliver.

Dull, deadpan, uninspiring. Condescending too.

A wurst salad is wurst than a dog turd and tonic.
Jamie olivers kebabs are not too bad - was on TV a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe he should do a revamp on some Swiss "Specials"
They may end up edible.
Even - Though I doubt it - Wurst Salad!

We had something similar last Saturday night (at home). Would have been better grilled on the BBQ rather than the kitchen grill. (our griddle pan is too small).

Does anyone remember the "Two Fat Ladies"? Now, they were my favourites! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p7l-Ca7e1E

For those of you not in the know, Very Posh Jennifer Paterson and Clarissa Dickson-Wright rode their motorbike side car cooking these fantastic meals around the U.K., breaking all cooking hygiene rules (Jennifer always smoking and drinking and keeping her ring while doing pastry) and having a real laugh all the way.

Sadly the programme stopped after Jennifer's death (cancer due to smoking, what do you think!), but I still use lots of their recipes...some where a little chaotic (when written undoubtedly under the influence of alcohol)

Keith Floyd was the daddy for that. Any excuse to cook with a splash of wine, so he could skull the rest of the bottle!

He was also a smoker and heavy drinker and had a premature death.

I'd drink to that - if I could!

Sobriety is horribly overrated...
